Road closures for Munster Hurling Final

May 08, 2023

TO ENSURE turnstiles don't overheat, patrons of Sunday's Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final between next-door neighbours Limerick and Clare are encouraged to arrive in plenty of time to the Gaelic Grounds.

In a joint-statement, Limerick City and County Council, An Garda Síochána, and Limerick County GAA Board are advising the anticipated 44,000 supporters to be parked at least one hour before match start time.

Attendees are reminded too that there is free on-street parking in the city and to use official match day car parks and off-street car parks throughout the city.

Road closures/diversions will be in place in the vicinity of the ground from 11.30am as follows:

Emergency service vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

A local authority spokesperson stressed: "No parking on green areas will be tolerated. No blocking private property access/egress in residential areas will be allowed, and vehicle tow away will operate."
